Terms of Service

Last updated: April 13, 2026
By installing or using SendLock you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What SendLock Does

SendLock is a Chrome extension that delays Gmail sends for a customizable period and gives you the ability to cancel, edit, or confirm before your email is sent. During the delay, SendLock counts how many times you modify the draft so you can see how often the buffer protects you. SendLock does not read or store the content of your emails. All processing happens locally within your browser. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

2. Accounts and Licensing

A license is required to use SendLock beyond any applicable free trial period. Licenses are per user and may not be shared. If you purchase a subscription, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from your account. Access continues through the end of your paid billing period.

3. Free Trial

SendLock offers a 7-day free trial with no credit card required. At the end of the trial period, continued use requires a paid subscription. We reserve the right to modify trial terms at any time.

4. Refund Policy

SendLock will give you at least one "I'm glad I caught that" moment this year, or we'll refund every dollar. No questions asked. Contact support@sendlock.com to request a refund.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

6. Google Services

SendLock operates within Gmail and relies on Google's browser environment. SendLock is an independent product and is not provided, endorsed, or affiliated with Google. Where SendLock uses Google APIs, we comply with Google's API Services User Data Policy including all Limited Use requirements.

7. SendLock AI (Optional Feature)

SendLock is developing an optional SendLock AI feature that analyzes email content for tone, emotion, and potential mistakes before sending. This feature is subject to the following additional terms:

Full AI-specific privacy terms will be provided at the time of opt-in and will form part of this agreement upon your acceptance.

8. Software Updates

We may add, change, or remove features at any time. The extension may update automatically to the latest version. We will communicate significant changes that affect your use of the product.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or for actions that create risk to the service or other users. You may uninstall the extension at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including the refund policy, limitation of liability, and governing law — will survive.

10. Disclaimers

SendLock is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee error-free or uninterrupted operation. SendLock is a tool designed to reduce email mistakes — it does not guarantee that all mistakes will be caught.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SendLock will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold SendLock and its founders harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or your violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any disputes will be resolved in Wisconsin state or federal courts.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of SendLock after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
